Cabinet Styles - Frame, Euro, and Inset
Evans Cabinet & Door, Ltd. manufactures cabinets in 3 styles - Frame, Frameless ("European" or "Euro") and Inset. Cost factors between the 3 styles are relatively negligible, but construction and appearance are quite different.

Frame Cabinets
Frame cabinets are traditional style with spacing between doors that reveals the hardwood face frame. Doors are full overlay and may use Youngdale or Blum hinges. Box parts may be constructed from solid wood, hardwood plywood, MDF or melamine. Exposed ends of the cabinets may be accented with raised or flat panels to match the door style. The face frame on the upper cabinets offer a "built in" light rail to hide under cabinet light fixtures. |

Euro Cabinets
Euro style cabinets are modular, do not have a face frame, and their doors have a minimum reveal. Doors are full overlay and are mounted with fully-concealed Blum hinges. Box parts may be constructed from hardwood plywood, MDF or melamine. Exposed ends of the cabinets may be accented to match the door style. Ends that flush to walls must have a filler to allow for irregularities in wall framing and texture. Light rails to conceal under-cabinet lighting is available. |

Inset Cabinets
An alternate cabinet style is inset face frame. This cabinet style has the doors in the same plane as the face frame, revealing the full face frame. Because the doors and drawer fronts fit into holes in the face frame, there is a large amount of labor that is put into fitting these parts to strict tolerances. This results in a higher cost for inset cabinets. Hinges designed specifically for inset cabinets are used for the doors. |
