Ash

Ash is a moderately hard, and is creamy white to light tan with streaks of medium brown in the heartwood. It is generally straight-grained with a coarse uniform texture.

Cherry

Cherry displays a strong figure and turns a deep, rich reddish brown over time when clear-coated.  Colors range from light reddish-white to a darker and deeper cinnamon with streaks of white in the sapwood area to deep reds in the heartwood as well as sap, and pitch in the wood.

Red Oak

Red Oak is a very hard, heavy wood with coarse grain. It varies in color from light grayish-tan to brown. It is mostly straight-grained with a medium to coarse texture that varies from straight to a distinctive sweeping arch pattern.  Red Oak has long been a beloved domestic standard in the United States

Mahogany

Mahogany  is moderately heavy and has color tones that range from golden brown to medium red/brown.  It is durable and has a grain structure that is usually either straight or interlocked. Since the grain structure of mahogany is quite distinctive, it can give an elegant and stylish look to cabinetry.

White Oak

White Oak is a dense hardwood that tends to have longer rays than Red Oak. It has fewer distinctive marks and is similar to red oak except it is grayish white to light tan. It is slightly heavier but less stable than its red cousin and changes dimension more easily with humidity fluctuations.

Hickory

Hickory is a hard and heavy wood with random natural streaks that add unique accents to your cabinetry. It has varying tones of near white to dark brown with mineral streaks and no particular pattern and an uneven variation. Hickory can provide a rugged or rich look to your cabinetry.

Birch

Birch is moderately heavy, closed-grained and suitable for staining or clear coating.  It is a smooth hardwood with straight, wavy or curly grains and light colors.  It is versatile and has an appearance similar to maple. Birch is popular due to the ease of finishing.

Select Adler

Select Alder is a moderately soft, closed-grained wood that is light tan to reddish brown in color.  Select alder may have scattered pin knots and slight, light colored mineral streaks. It has a rich and beautiful look similar to cherry wood at a more affordable price.

Beech

Beech is very consistent in color and figure. It is moderately heavy and is closed grained.  Heartwood is light reddish brown, displaying fine fleck patterns. It is popular for clear finishes.

Knotty Pine

Knotty Pine is softwood white to cream colored streaked with reddish brown highlights and tight red knots. The knots range from large to small, and are relatively sturdy. The sapwood is soft, uniform in texture and low in shock-resistance.

Knotty Adler

Knotty Alder comes in a range of natural colors from light brown sapwood to reddish brown heartwood. It is characterized with a range of tight knots, grain variation, pinholes, cracks, bird pecks, and mineral streaks. Stains and toners can further highlight the beautiful grain.

Paint Grade Hardwood

Paint Grade has a large variation of color and grain. It will be solid with no voids or splits and is best suited for opaque finishes. Paint grade is produced using Soft Maple.

Select Pine

Select Pine has pale brown heartwood to pale pinkish brown in color with dark brown flecks caused by large resin canals. Sapwood is usually off-white light, soft, easily worked, and has very good dimensional stability.

Select Maple

Select Maple is a hard and durable wood. Maple has a light, uniform appearance that produces a smooth, clean look. Characteristics of Clear Maple include color variations from white sapwood to grayish brown heartwood, tight knots, “birds’ eye”, and mineral streaks.

Walnut

Walnut will darken with age becoming more elegant and warm as time goes by. Characteristics of Walnut include color variations from streaks of white in the sapwood area to deep reds in the heartwood as well as sap in the wood.

It is a semi closed-grain, heavy hardwood that is renowned for its strength, hardness and durability.
